Halloween. Hmm. I don’t know how I feel about this ‘holiday’. Thankfully Carsyn is innocent and not interested in scary stuff.
Our church had a carnival this afternoon and all the kids could come to church dressed up.
Baby girl was an OU Cheerleader. Thanks Uncle Jerrye and Aunt Barby! She is adorable.
Talk about special delivery. Daddy carried CarCar all the way back to the Tahoe on his shoulders.
We didn’t stay for the carnival. Baby girl was tired and clingy.
Saturday morning our little family of three headed to the park. It was a beautiful fall day and so much fun.

Here is momma going down the twisty slide with Carsyn. She loved it.
She liked it so much we had to go to the higher slide. Such a big girl! She climbed all the way up by herself. She was brave enough to go down by herself, but momma was scared.
Just a swingin’. Daddy pushed Carsyn for a long time. The she got bossy. She wanted momma and daddy to swing too.
How great is that face. She was loving it! Afterwards we went to Sonic for a slushy. Doesn’t get any better than that.
Big girl Carsyn eating her banana. She picked it off the tree and pealed it back herself. OK, that is a slight exaggeration. I started the peal back process for her, but she’s happy to try and finish it up.
Carsyn was very sweet with Gage this weekend and Gagers was very sweet to tolerate her.
Carsyn and I spend the weekend in Oklahoma. We had pumpkin patch plans. MamMaw hadn’t seen Carsyn in forever. Gage is growing. It was time for a visit.
Um bite. Um bit. PaPa T has some good ice. It’s soaked in pink lemonade and Carsyn couldn’t get enough.

I can’t even remember what the drama was all about. No wait. I remember. She had NO nap!

Granny is all excited because she’s certain Carsyn just called her Granny.

Carsyn is helping Granny open cans and cook in the kitchen. Granny loved it and Carsyn felt all big.
OK. It’s not really the pumpkin patch’s fault. It was the weather.
Quick Story.
Here is how it started.
Here is how it ended.
The plan was to go Friday morning to the pumpkin patch in Cyril. It’s a smaller, family owned patch. Perfect for our sweet babes.
But it come a thunder storm on Friday. I guess October showers bring November turkeys or something like that. Saturday morning we decided to try again. We examined the radar and decided it was going to be east of Cyril.
We got to the farm an hour late. Darn that hour. We would have been ok had we been on time. Apparently this far is technically east of Cyril. Where the rain was. Nuts.
Sweet baby girl was ready. She saw a cat and kept calling for it. Mow. Mow (rhymes with cow. not row.)
Finally the pumpkins!!
Hold this cute little one. She’s a little unsure. It was dirty.
OK. Starting to get a little windy. There are a few rain drops on my shirt.
Granny wants a cute pic too. Carsyn is a little distracted.
Carsyn liked the sheep and goats. As long as they stayed far away. Still windy. More rain.
Only picture of the babies together. Not exactly the crisp fall day I was looking for. Poor baby Gage. He was NOT happy.
This was the last straw. We took this picture, grabbed a pumpkin and high tailed it back to the car.
Yup. That’s us looking good after a fun day at the pumpkin patch.
Carsyn was concerned about Gage. Momma got him a bottle ASAP!
Look what Aunt Misty found after nap time.
Apparently Carsyn woke up from her nap and found the thread in the sewing machine drawer. So much fun!
This stuff was every where.
OK. I know her foot looks oddly colored, but I was trying to show you the thread in between her toes.

Aunt Misty did a great job! Both babies had naps and then diaper changes.
Look who likes Mexican food!
Carsyn likes some chips and salsa just as much as the next girl.
But she’s also decided that she likes lemons. Not really customarily know as Mexican food, but served at every restaurant in America with water.
She really liked the flesh of the lemon, but the rind was extremely sour and she made a hysterical sour face, but I couldn’t ever capture with the camera.
Gagers liked the Mexican place too. Won’t be long and he’ll be digging into the chips and salsa too.
I attended a Get Motivated seminar on Monday. There were a ton of big name speakers. Laura Bush. Troy Aikman. Zig Zigler. Terry Bradshaw. 
This is where I sat. I took this pic about 7:30. The place was packed out a hour later. Don’t worry, this post isn’t really about the seminar.
It’s about me and the TRE. I took the train to Dallas. Yup. Public Transportation. That’s right. I care about the earth. Go Green or Go Home.
Not really. I had 2 main purposes.
1. Don’t drive to almost downtown Dallas.
2. Don’t pay $20 for parking.
Way to go TRE. You’ve completely redeemed yourself from the 2009 Red River Rivalry debacle. By redeemed, I mean I’ll never ride you to a OU-Texas game again, but I’m not open to other events.
Let’s just get it out of the way. We’re stupid. I know it. You’ll know it after this post.
Carsyn was sick Thursday and had to stay home Friday. She’s still not feeling better, but we needed to go to the lake. We needed to get our boat back up there. It’s been down here hanging out in a friend’s barn, but he needed his barn to make a batting cage for his daughter. She’s on a traveling fast pitch team and needs a college scholarship. Chain of events, I couldn’t be responsible for their first born not going to college.
So we loaded up Carsyn and the dogs and the boat and headed to the lake. 4 HOURS later. We arrived. OMG it was not fun. Carsyn was sick and just wanted to be held. Oh by the way. She had not eaten anything and didn’t even want her Sonic grape or orange slush.
Each night she has about 1 hour of good normal play. After the Tylenol or Motrin kicks in. At this particular point she felt like everyone needed to be bare foot like her and her momma. Bare feet. I’m a fan.
When she say Tony loading things up, she was ready to hit the road. She grabbed her bag and headed out.
Carsyn really likes MawMaw and PawPaw’s golf cart. She climbed all over that thing and then made her daddy take her for a drive.
Because of baby girl being sick and the fact we couldn’t watch the OU game, we came home early. Never fear, the trip back was just as bad. But at least it was Saturday afternoon instead of Sunday night. Carl and Donna came down too. That was great. We were able to still hang out for the weekend. Thanks for coming!
