18 Month Check Up

Carsyn and I headed out to the doctors office for her 18 month doctors appointment.  Carsyn is doing really well at climbing into a chair and then turning around to sit on her bottom. She rarely needs to be reminded.

 

She had some difficulty reaching the toy with her hands, so she improvised. Creative. Nice. Helps keep all those germs off her too!

 

Just like ever girl, Carsyn was looking for her cell phone.

 

Here is our doctors office. Carsyn found out she didn’t need to get a shot. She grabbed her phone and purse. She was ready to head out the door before they could change their mind.

We decided to have a mini photo shoot with Carsyn while we were at the lake.

Uts

4th of July

We spent 4th of July weekend at the lake house with Tony’s parents. We drove up late Friday night. Totally worth it. We spent Saturday and Sunday night there too.

It doesn’t take Carsyn long to relax at the lake. Get into total chill mode. This might be a repeat, but it bears mentioning again. Carsyn loves those sunglasses.

Any noise or cell phone ring gets an alert. The OOOOh.

The lake community the lake house is in staged a 4th of July parade with the golf carts.

How amazing are those floats. The Uncle Sam hat is my favorite.

MawMaw got Carsyn a pool. She wasn’t too thrilled at first. I ran and got my bathing suit on to go sit with her.

It still took a while for her to warm up to it. She did. Then it was fun splashing momma.

Sunday night we hopped on the golf cart and headed down to the lake to see the fireworks.

Carsyn was a rock star. She wasn’t scared at all.

PawPaw held her for a large part of the night. Carsyn Ooohed and Aaawed at the fireworks. She clapped and had fun sitting with Daddy.

We love the lake house. What a great time!!

Hello Gage, I’m Carsyn

Carsyn finally got to meet Gage on Saturday. Due to a few complications and logistics, Gage was 15 days old before she got to see him. I think she likes him. She gave him a few love pats and a couple of kisses. She wasn’t very excited about Momma holding him. She wanted to be held too. All in all the introductions went beautifully.

Carsyn kept checking on Granny in the kitchen. She was positive Granny needed her assistance.

“OK. Something is different. Aunt Misty and Uncle FaFa came to Granny’s house. And they brought my old car seat?”

“Hmmm. Not as comfortable as I remember”

“Oh, I see. Aunt Misty has a baby. Here ya go. I’m sure you’ll need this diaper.”

“Maybe Gage needs some towels.”

Finally. A kiss. Doesn’t it melt your heart? how sweet. Cousin’s meeting for the first time.

I know there are a few million pictures with sisters and cousins, but absolutely non were taken with my camera. Ah, nuts…

Laundry

A women’s work is never done. But this women is sure happy to have a helper!

Carsyn went back and forth to her room no less than 6 times. She did it over and over. She opened a drawer and got out all her old burp clothes. It was precious and I’m giggling now just thinking about it. So if you have a front load washer and dryer, she’s your girl. She even helped me this weekend at the lake house.

Balance

Feeling off? A little out of balance? Do what Carsyn does. Wear a balance bracelet.

You’ll be able to squat and dig through your purse at the same time.

See it? Blue. Maybe we should order her pink.

While you might feel more balanced, I can’t guarantee that you won’t be tired. Some time you just have to drag your purse around.
