Playdate

Friday night Tony and I got to repay the babysitting favor to Mike and Catherine. Cason is such a sweet boy. Very happy.

 

Cason and Carsyn play well together. There isn’t too much “Mine!” and  “No!” involved when they play.

They took turns with the ball. There was laughing and clapping. I like it!

Visitors

MawMaw and PawPaw came for a visit and brought Carsyn a little gift. She loves her antlers. They light up and everything. Thanks MawMaw and PawPaw!

We are the Champions!

Tony and I sucked it up and bought tickets for the Big 12 Championship game. SO GLAD we did it. Now had we lost, I might be singing a different tune.

 

Let me begin by saying, I totally underestimated that stadium. Seriously?!?! It’s crazy big.

 

   We went to the stadium early to eat, hang out, take advantage of free babysitting, and to just be together. That doesn’t happen very often. Thank you Catherine for watching Carsyn for us!!!

 

We had wonderful seats. We were in section 338, row 4. We could see everything and then watch the play back on that huge TV.

 

Another bonus to our seats. The 2 seats right in front of us…NO one showed up!! What?!? Who pays for these tickets and doesn’t show up? Who cares? This girl got to stretch out!

 

 

Loved the game! It was intense the entire time. Back and forth. Could not have asked for more.

 

 

Now there is a happy man!

Veggies are Our Friends

Carsyn really loves her veggies. I’m so grateful that we don’t have to force feed them or trick her into eating them. She even made a ring out of this cucumber ;-)

Ponytail

Tony was packing for the academy and Carsyn decided she wanted to go too. She was willing to hang out in the suitcase for a while on the plane.

Tony was selected to attend Defensive Tactics Instructor training at the Inspector training center in DC. I’m very impressed with him. He is doing so well at his job and is often selected for specialized training or to represent the Inspection Service at national conferences. He’s going to be gone for a week. I was thinking about sneaking away in that suitcase too!

Suck It Up!

 

Carsyn is all about this vacuum. If I actually want to clean, I have to do it when she’s not here. Otherwise she will cry until I let her drive the vacuum. All things considered she’s pretty good at cleaning the kitchen. I take the telescoping handle off and she’ll suck up all the crumbs on the tile floor. I like it. Good character qualities being developed here!

Tyler

Tony was in Tyler for several days. This baby girl missed her daddy. He missed her too! It’s hard work chasing he bad guys. They showed their love by napping together ;-)

Row of Shoes

I was in the kitchen making supper. Tony and Carsyn were in the living room. I walk in and see this. Minus the baby, we made her sit down just for the picture. All my shoes from the laundry room where lined up in the living room. I ask Tony if he helped her with that. Nope. Busy Busy girl. I don’t know why she did this. I remember saying that I needed to put all my shoes away. She must have heard me and thought she’d help out. I need to be more specific next time. I need to put all my shoes in my closet.

Carsyn is so funny. She does unexpected, smart things all the time. Love her.

MamMaw

MamMaw is my great grandma. Carsyn’s great-great grandma. She is 98 and doing great.

She came down Thursday night with my parents to hang out with us.

 

She read books with Carsyn. Played ball and chatted over breakfast.

She left quite the impression with Carsyn. She woke up from her nap Sunday asking for her.

We are so thankful for MamMaw. I love that she loves my baby girl and gets to spend time with her!
