Row of Shoes

P1050299

I was in the kitchen making supper. Tony and Carsyn were in the living room. I walk in and see this. Minus the baby, we made her sit down just for the picture. All my shoes from the laundry room where lined up in the living room. I ask Tony if he helped her with that. Nope. Busy Busy girl. I don’t know why she did this. I remember saying that I needed to put all my shoes away. She must have heard me and thought she’d help out. I need to be more specific next time. I need to put all my shoes in my closet.

Carsyn is so funny. She does unexpected, smart things all the time. Love her.

MamMaw

MamMaw is my great grandma. Carsyn’s great-great grandma. She is 98 and doing great.

She came down Thursday night with my parents to hang out with us.

P1050293

She read books with Carsyn. Played ball and chatted over breakfast.

P1050292 She left quite the impression with Carsyn. She woke up from her nap Sunday asking for her.

We are so thankful for MamMaw. I love that she loves my baby girl and gets to spend time with her!

Give Thanks

P1050270

Tony and I could not be more thankful for our baby girl.

P1050268

Our day of Thanks started out simply. It was so nice to sleep in and not be on the road. Carsyn was still in her PJs when she went out to help Daddy try the turkey.

Then there was the aftermath. The damage has been done.

P1050291

Our little family of three headed over to Sean’s house for dinner. Lisa, Sean’s fiancĂ© and her mom prepared a lovely meal.

P1050281

P1050282

Carsyn dug a diaper out of her bag and started diapering her baby. She is such a little repeat right now. She is constantly asking what things are named. I have not idea what word she uses to ask the question, but it’s consistent and if you name the object she’ll move on. If you ask, what’d you say, she gets frustrated.

P1050274

Sean showed Carsyn how to swing a bat. Inside. Great idea. ;-)

P1050279

Carsyn strung her toys around Sean and Lisa’s house, just like she does ours.

P1050280

Yummy. Great way to end a meal. Pie!

If You’re OCD, Close Your Eyes

I’m going to be real here. I’m putting myself out there. I’m vulnerable right now.

This is my house.

This is how we play/live.

We don’t put one toy away before we get the other one out.

P1050263

In fact we dig in the toy box to ensure ALL toys are out at one time.

P1050261

Some times I can’t stand it. Other times I just go with it. At daycare Carsyn won’t eat lunch or let anyone else eat lunch until all the toys are put away. Not so much at home. I’ve clearly missed a step.

Forever in Blue Jeans

Jeans, dress, you get the idea. Grandma and Granny gave Carsyn this super cute dress. She wore it to church today and this is the only picture is got. She had just finished eating lunch and was standing up in her highchair. A position I strongly discourage until it fits my needs. Daddy on the other hand wasn’t concerned about my needs, he told Carsyn to sit down. Thus horrible picture quality. P1050260

Thanks for my dress! I love you Grandma. I love you Granny!

Thanks!

MawMaw and PawPaw sent Carsyn some cute clothes. We wanted to be sure and say thank you!

She also saw the moon and a bird.

Working from Home

P1050254Carsyn’s babysitter had a meeting to attend on Wednesday, so Carsyn got to stay home with Momma and Daddy. Tony and I were able to split the day. Carsyn was well taken care of and neither of had to use vacation.

P1050258  I can’t imagine why some people think you can’t accomplish anything while working from home. I gave Carsyn my accounting work and I did laundry. It was a win-win. She’s double checking her debits and credits in this picture. So smart!

Boomer Sooner Girls

P1050236 The girls headed to Norman and left the boys home (or Las Vegas, Kansas hunting, home, golf course working).

P1050237 We had fantastic sears. Front row in the upper deck on the 35. Thanks Dad!

P1050240

It was getting colder by the end of the game. OU was clearly winning, so we skipped out on the 4th quarter to do a little shopping on Campus Corner.

Gagers and Baby Food

P1050213While Tony was in Las Vegas, Carsyn and I headed north to Oklahoma.

Carsyn supervised bath time Gage and Granny.

P1050216 What a sweet baby boy! He’s getting all chunky monkey on us. He’s got a big head like my sweet baby girl. Holding lots of brain cells!

Gage is still a little young to eat pureed food, but Misty wanted to get a jump start. We spent Friday night and Saturday morning cutting, cooking, steaming, boiling, pureeing fruits and veggies to freeze for Gagers.

P1050217

P1050219

Gage is already obsessed with his sweet potatoes. He will NOT look at me when I take his picture. Stinker.

Great Job on all the food Misty! I know Gage will love it so much.

A Tale of a Trip

P1050206

Hey, Elmo’s on TV.

P1050208 ‘mere Momma, ‘mere.

P1050209 reading

P1050210  Hi Momma!

Carsyn and I drove to Oklahoma by ourselves on Friday.  It was a fairly successful trip.

Tortilla Love

  P1050189

We had tacos a couple of times this week. Carsyn really enjoyed the tortilla’s from Rosa’s. Tony secretly snapped this picture from the living room.

P1050202

The next night Carsyn told me she was all done. As I was taking her tray away, she snagged her cup and left over tortilla. She meant she was done with that other stuff, but the tortillas were for keeps.

She is so funny,

Wheels on the Suitcase Go Round and Round

We bought a new suitcase a Macy’s. Carsyn insisted on wheeling it out herself. She’s not the best driver ;-)

Gage’s Baby Dedication

Sunday Misty and Jeff dedicated Gage to the LORD. In front of friends, family, their church and God. P1050150Misty is looking up at the baby pictures on the big screen.

P1050155Gage is totally ignoring me. Refused to look at me. this isn’t the best picture. I think my camera setting was wrong. I was taking pictures during the prayer and I was trying to be stealth.

P1050163 Oh the proud Great and Great-Great Grandparents.

P1050164

Carsyn was so funny that afternoon. She was extremely chatty and very pleasant all while during her regular nap time. She laid down on the couch for a minute or 15 seconds. Then she put her babies to bed about 4 times. Strolling them down the hallway to the back bedroom, tossing them over into the pack and play. Telling them nite-nite and shutting the door. Then almost immediately needing someone to help her get her babies back into the stroller so she can recklessly drive down the hallway with her stroller.

P1050169 Aunt Crystal and Gagers. He is such a happy baby.

P1050180

Here is Carsyn running around the backyard. I have no idea where I was. We packed up about 2:30 and headed home. Carsyn was out like a light less than 5 minutes after we hit the road.

Road Trip

Headed to Oklahoma for Gage’s Baby Dedication. Every road trip needs a good book. Carsyn was reading a Bible story book with lots of animals in it.

P1050140

She pointed out the bears, elephants, lions, penguins, lady bugs, tigers, and more.

P1050138

Momma got a crick in her neck helping Carsyn read her book ;-)

Not sure if it was the Sunday morning, the Bible reading or prayers, or Daddy, but this was the best road trip we’ve had in a long time.

A Story of a Sleepy Girl

P1050105

I have a funny story to share about Carsyn. I have no photo so I’m sticking a non-related pic of her on this post. As if you might forget who I’m blogging about.

Brushing Teeth is not a popular evening event at our house. Carsyn even has a super cool spin brush. That worked for a while, but the novelty has worn off. One night she was sitting in the snuggler chair. Milk ‘all done’ and she’s just hanging out before bed. I come close with the toothbrush and say “It’s time to brush your teeth.” Carsyn slumps over – insta-sleep. Maybe she has narcolepsy. She was asleep. When I sat down, she didn’t wake up, only let her body fall into mine. She was just so tired she didn’t wake up. I’m laughing hysterically at this point at her play sleeping. Then she cuts her eyes up at me and smiles. Seriously!! She’s not even two. Smart. Very smart. And funny.
