Nothing. Nothing really. Just this tank in the floor and thought I’d throw it on.
Carsyn found one of my tanks and thought she’d look good in it. Then she had to go play with her bear.
Very funny little girl!

Very funny little girl!
A whole Sonic burger. A big burger. A manly burger. She ate it. All. Except for a pickle and the bottom bun.
And Frosted Flakes. I really have nothing else to say about that.
The weather has been beautiful and we’ve tried to get out and enjoy it.
LOVE that smile! Carsyn really had a great day at the park on Saturday.
Then on Monday, President’s Day, Carsyn and Daddy had a date. Lunch at Chick-fil-a and then more playing at the park. How great is that? So happy that Tony loves to play with his baby girl.
Yes I did!
It had to be done. I bought zebra print and hot pink rolls of duct tape. Carsyn was all about that zebra print. She how happy she is? Admittedly Carsyn was a little nervous when it came time to wrap the duct tape around her diaper. I’m sure most of you are thinking, “You’d be scared too”. My response, He who does not clean up poopy sheets, should not throw stones.
See the hot pink tape? Completely ON the diaper and no skin.
And most importantly…the ‘biaper on’ is the best result. Carsyn has even left her PJ’s on at night too.
Carsyn had taken some of her swimmer diapers out of the dresser. They were spread all over the house. I was encouraging her to pick up her swim diapers and I think she misunderstood. Swim diapers = floaties.
Just a side note…we’ve entered the ‘don’t take my picture’ phase. fun!
I’m just throwing in some random pictures so I can remember so things Carsyn has been up to the last few months.
The words are a plenty. She learns 1 or 2 new words everyday. Her favorite question is ‘What dis'?’ Then she’ll repeat back whatever you said. Could be one word or 3-4 word sentence.
She loves to take pictures of herself and others. She’ll say “Cheese Momma” “Cheese Daddy” She rarely turns the camera to right way to actually capture anyone else in her pictures, but she loves being in charge of the camera.
One of the challenges we are facing is at night time. Carsyn likes to strip down. No PJ’s. No diaper. Some times we catch it before we go to bed. Some times we don’t. It was annoying and potential gross, but we were hopeful. Not a chance were we going to escape this parental right of passage. Poop and Pee Pee in the bed. It’s happened. More than one.
She’s developed a love of Barney and Elmo.
She calls Daddy’s Tahoe the Taco.
She loves to call Aunt Missy and ask about Jeff and Gage.
She thinks Granny and PaPa T live upstairs.
Carsyn is starting to play pretend. This bottle of lotion is bubbles.
There are about a million other random things I could add, but I’ll stop now. Carsyn is asleep and I can finally eat supper!
I’m beginning to wonder about this weather. North Texas had the coldest temperatures in the last 15 years. Schools were closed for 4 days. That is unheard of. I was home Tuesday – Friday, with Carsyn and my work. People asked if I was getting stir crazy. Um…no. Didn’t have a chance to be bored and I don’t like to be cold. So it’s not like I was tempted to go outside. I got my best work done when Carsyn went to bed. Wednesday night I was up until 1:30 and then 3:30 the next night. Tony stayed home with us Tuesday and Wednesday, but had to go to work the rest of the week.
So what did we do all week?
took naps (Carsyn did at least)
Enjoyed looking at the snow
soaked up water that was spilled
dug our car out of the snow and inch of ice
took pictures of the unique phenomenon
decorated
OK. I feel the need to point out my creativity. My last post was entitled ‘Under the Weather’, this one "’Over the Weather’. Picture a pat on the back.
Carsyn is still sick. And clingy.
There is ice every where in North Texas. (Yes in Oklahoma too. I get it, a foot of snow. OVER ice)
Our office is closed. Tuesday is was really closed. I got on my laptop and check so email, but that’s about it. Tuesday was Workday 1 of the monthly close process. Not a day to be missed. Wednesday the building is closed, but the people are working. It’s Workday 2 – really not a day to be missed. So here is my little home office. My laptop on a TV tray by the kitchen.
Here is the street by the back of our house. Not wet. Sheet of ice.
Here I am. On my back. In the driveway. I slipped. Hurt a little. Hurts more now than when it happened. Don’t worry. I put on that huge down jacket and had my cell phone in my pocket. The camera was in my hand. ‘All the better to document you with my dear.’
Me. Flat on my back. That whole ‘pat on the back’ thing from above doesn’t sound so bad now huh? I need a massage on the back now!
Does any body else remember that I was snorkeling in the Caymans two weeks ago!?!? I sure do!
