Happy 9 month Birthday

  • You wear 9 month clothes.
  • You started wearing shoes to school because it's been cooler in the mornings and I don't want your feet to get cold
  • You still wear your big bows, but you've also started wearing little bows IN YOUR HAIR. no baby headbands here.
  • You have mastered the crawl. I haven't seen any army crawling in weeks.
  • Ain't no mountain high enough to keep you from getting to...whatever you want. You will happily crawl over me or any number of pillows to get to the kitchen.
  • You've started pulling up on things. You are very proud of yourself. It's a whole new world standing on two legs.
  • You like peaches, pears, apples, peas, yellow squash, green beans, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, yogurt, and puffs
  • You've been promoted to the Frogs class at the nursery. It's big time. You sit in a circle and have snacks. That makes it kind of like mommy and daddy's Sunday school class.
  • Ms. Brandy says you're a little aggressive at daycare. She is encouraging you to use gentle touches with your friend Callen.

Shoes

It's been a little cool in the mornings, so I decided to put something on those little toes. Seriously, does it get much cuter than this? She wore them all day long!

Take a Stand

Carsyn's been pulling up on things for a little while now. I've just been slow to get a picture of the event and then even slower to get it uploaded on the blog. As she gets older and more mobile, I'm finding it harder to capture all the events. I hear it gets even worse as they kids get older. My Aunt and Uncle haven't taken pictures of their boys in years ;-) They're old, one is in college.

1st Car

Ms. Brandy's house has the cutest car for Carsyn to ride. How sweet is she? Brandy's daughter, Madison, is helping Carsyn stay on.

softball

Monday night we headed out to the softball field. We met our other friends there. Then is started lightening. So then we left. That was about it. We were only there about 10 minutes when they canceled the games. Nuts. Maybe next week.

Sunday

Here is Carsyn on her way to church. Looking mighty spiffy in her big bow. Carsyn has been amazing at the church nursery. Basically they love her and think she 's the best baby they've ever seen. To put it mildly. I went to feed Carsyn between church and Sunday School. There was no bow. That's not a big deal. The bow doesn't always make it through out the day. The nursery volunteer said Carsyn was fine with it. It was all her little friends that were amazed by it. The kept touching it so they volunteer saved Carsyn and took her bow off. Thanks for sticking up for my baby and making her safe, nursery can be a rough crowd.

Here is Carsyn chillin' at home. Bow out, bloomers off. Playing.

What is THAT???

We had a milestone event in our house yesterday. Carsyn went to daycare with a bow in her hair. I know I know. You're thinking, she wears bows all the time. Big deal. Well, this time it was IN HER HAIR. How about that. No infant baby girl headband needed. I couldn't find a headband to match so I just thought, I'm going to stick this in her hair and see what happens. I'm new at the whole thing, so I don't think it looks as good as it could. I took her to Ms. Brandy's house, completely sure it would fall out on the way. It stayed in. By all accounts, it stayed in ALL DAY LONG. That little blue bow was in Friday night when MawMaw and PawPaw got to our house.

Simple Things

We're still working on the sippy cup. Carsyn doesn't seem to understand that she can drink the water inside it. Or maybe she just doens't like water. I don't really know.

Any way. I took the plastic suction valve thingy off her cup so the water woud flow out freely. Well, flow it did, all over her high chair. Can you see the water on her tray?
She really enjoyed splashing around in the water!

Hung Out to Dry

I just thought this picture was funny. Granny washed all of Carsyn's wubanubs.

Hello Kitty

Tony brought this super sweet Kitty back from Phoenix for Carsyn. It is so soft and she loves to snuggle, which makes Daddy very happy.

Peach Puff

This weekend we let Carsyn try some Gerber Peach Puffs. She needed a little snack. I could pretend that she was wary of trying them. Not true. Fact is, she likes food. She dove right in.

We're still working on using they sippy cup. But if it's on the high chair, she'll claim ownership of it and isn't interested in letting it go.

I like the puffs. They dissolve quickly. Thus they get a little stick on wet, slobbery hands. She even had a few stuck to her PJ's for later. Smart girl.

Peek-a-Boo

I laid Carsyn down for a nap. Heard a little chatter. Walked in and what do I see? Hello head. This girl is growing up!

Carsyn is 'standing' on her knees. Nice huh. I lowered the matteress already. There is one more setting that is lower, but if I got that low, I won't be able to reach her. I need a box.

BabyLegs!!!

I just LOVE these. So far I mostly love the idea of these, but how cute are they. They are leg warmers for babies. I know. Sounds like the 80's. Since Carsyn never lived through the 80's and didn't get to wear leg warmers before, I think it's ok now. I'm not wearing them.

They keep her legs warm while she's moving about the house. They also help protect her knees. They'll be great in the Fall and Spring when the mornings are cool, but the afternoons are warmer.

It's possible that Carsyn isn't as excited about it as I am. She'll 'warm up' to them ;-)

Baby Needs Golf and Daddy

While Tony was gone, Carsyn obviously missed him. She was drawn towards his golf bag. So basically she's got it all. The golf balls. Golf clubs. And now the bag.
She already has a cute collard shirt. I think the knickers and shoes are the only thing left. Stay tuned.

Baby doll Lovin'

Carsyn was being so sweet and loving on her baby doll. She gave her sugars.

We're working on the gouging of eyes ;-)

Sunday fun

Again, I'm a week behind. This was last Sunday in Oklahoma with my Grandma and MamMaw. Carsyn was so sweet. She played and entertained the adults while momma took a nap.

She finally crashed out in Granny's arms.

More Family Continued

After we came back from Temple, Tony's parents came down for a visit. And Jenni and Gunner came to see Carsyn too. Misty and I ran to Wal-Mart.

More Family

Carsyn let MamMaw hold her while she ate. She's a good eater and it always makes her happy!

Then she played with Grandma for a while. She was a sweet baby. She played on the floor until she wore herself out.

It's hard work visiting family. Call this nap #1 for the day and it was only 11 am.

Saturday afternoon we traveled to Temple to visit with my dad's cousins and aunts. (Mind you this was last Saturday. I'm a little behind).

I don't know if you've notice that a few of these ladies are very mature. My MamMaw will be 97 at the end of the month. My dad's aunts are both in their 80's. I've warned Tony, I will be around for a long time. Women on both sides of my family just last.

Last Friday Tony drove Carsyn and me to Deactur and my mom picked us up. (last time I drove by myself with Carsyn didn't go so well). We got to hang out with my parents and Misty and Jeff on Friday night.
Then Saturday we wernt to visit MamMaw and Grandma.
